UZUNGOL TRABZON
When the Black Sea is mentioned, Uzungol, which has a place in our minds with its tight forests and defined as the "end of the world" by the local people, is among the important natural beauties of our country. Uzungöl, where you can witness a unique beauty when viewed from a height of 2300 meters, welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.
Uzungöl locality is known by the Greek name "Saraho" in 1586 when the settlement records are examined. While it was known as 'Şerah' in a certain period of history, after a natural disaster, Solaklı Creek is closed, thus a long lake is formed. This natural beauty has been known as 'Uzungol' since then.
While Uzungöl was connected to the district Of Trabzon for the first time in history, it has been connected to the district of Çaykara since 1948.
